The broker directory at /brokers is a deduplicated list of every broker that has ever posted a load on Load Work. The subtitle says it plainly: “Every broker we’ve seen, deduped — authority, activity, and recency.” Use the directory to research a broker before you call, find new brokers in your lanes, or sanity-check a broker that contacted you.

Directory controls

Search by broker name or MC number. If you enter a bare MC number such as 123456, the search returns a single exact match. This is the fastest way to look up a specific broker.
Search respects the filter tab you are on. A broker you know exists will return nothing if you are on the wrong tab. If you search on the Verified tab and the broker is unverified, the result will be empty. Switch to All or the correct tab to find them.

Filter tabs

  • All — Every broker in the directory
  • Verified — Brokers with active FMCSA authority only
  • Unverified — Brokers with inactive, missing, or not-yet-checked authority

Sort options

  • Most active — Sorted by live load count. Brokers with more current postings rank higher.
  • Recent — Sorted by last post date. Brokers who posted recently rank higher.
  • A-Z — Alphabetical by broker name.

Anatomy of a directory row

Each row shows the following, left to right:
  1. Authority chip — Green, red, or gray. See Broker authority badges for what each color means.
  2. Broker name — This may be a person’s name, a company name, an ALL-CAPS legal entity, or even a bare phone number. Names come straight from the broker’s posting, so they vary in format.
  3. MC# / DOT# — Displayed underneath the broker name. Some rows have no MC or DOT number at all. A missing MC/DOT is itself a caution signal.
  4. Activity summary — On the right side: N active over N total loads, plus the age of the last post.

Known issue: All and Verified tabs timing out

The All and Verified tabs sometimes time out and show the error “Couldn’t load brokers.” If this happens:
  • Press Retry
  • Narrow your view by switching to the Unverified tab, or search by broker name or MC number
  • Go direct to a broker profile by clicking View broker from a load card
